Art galleries are the perfect settings for exhibiting art, generally visual art such as paintings, sculptures, and photography. Temporary Skin Art for Pregnant Women
Did you know that in some areas of the world, pregnant women get temporary skin art? Of course, it may be from a different culture than the one you grew up with and for some people, it might not make sense. But it’s easy to understand in this world of 24 hour news stations, and the World Wide Web, and the ability to travel almost anywhere, that the whole world is a mosaic of different cultures. With a world so big, no one can really expect everyone to be the same. Besides, the world has been around for a long time and that’s an understatement. This is why it’s understandable that we all have a lot of traditions and cultures.
We’ve seen a lot of skin arts in history, particularly henna tattoos. Going back to the pregnant women example, it’s a little surprising that in some Arabic countries like Morocco, it’s a cultural tradition to apply temporary skin art once the pregnant woman hits her 7th month of pregnancy. Different temporary skin art is also applied during the wedding and once she gives birth to the baby.
Henna tattoos were usually the preferred choice for cultures and traditions that embrace these milestones with impermanent body art. This worked well in the past especially since they didn’t have any other options back then. They can make them using the henna plant which was widely available in their areas.
